A symposium on Indigenous Ecological Knowledge in Alice Springs has included a discussion on the perspectives of First Nations youth in central Australia.

CSIRO Indigenous Research Fellow, Josie Douglas, has spoken about youth, their feelings for country and thoughts on their predecessors.

She says the event explored how youth adapt and shape ecological knowledge in modern everyday life in relation to their country.

Ms Douglas' presentation was part of the symposium on Arrernte country bringing together speakers from across Australia.
