A Kimberley-based remote media stalwart has been honoured with a lifetime achievement accolade at the Remote Indigenous Media Awards.

Henry Augustine received the award at the conclusion of last week's16th National Remote Indigenous Media Festival on Cape York in Queensland.

During his 17-year career, Mr Augustine has worked for various media organisations, most recently Pilbara and Kimberley Aboriginal Media.

He says he's humbled to receive the accolade after recently returning to work in his home community of Beagle Bay.
