The owner and editor of independent online publication New Matilda says the ongoing Northern Territory Intervention hasn't markedly improved statistics around Indigenous wellbeing.

Chris Graham has spoken at a forum overnight to mark UN Human Rights Day today, where he voiced his concerns about policies affecting Indigenous people in the NT.

The topic of the forum was 'Can our First Nations Peoples celebrate UN Human Rights Day?'

Mr Graham says under the Intervention, the situation has gotten worse.
