The New South Wales Disability Services Minister has announced the state Government will provide funding for more community-based Aboriginal disability field officers.

John Ajaka made the announcement at a conference in Newcastle run by the Aboriginal Disability Network to inform people with a disability and their carers and families about the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Mr Ajaka says it's important people are able to fully benefit from the NDIS.
